Sacred Economics

(Research since the 1930s reveals that unemployment has major effects on individuals' and families' emotional and physical health. Researchers have found strong relationships between unemployment rates and increased mental hospital admissions, suicide, homicide, total mortality, and cardiovascular-renal disease mortality.)

Money makes people feel secure, because they can have food, shelter, clothing, a savings account for emergencies. Greed typically denotes the excessive urge to possess as a goal bringing satisfaction in itself, the desire to acquire material wealth and possessions beyond the need of the individual. There is nothing wrong with having money. There is nothing wrong with wealth. It is a personal choice to work hard enough to make a lot of money to have extra things. Greed can involve using wealth to gain power over others and sometimes by denying others wealth or power.

Money problems are a major source of stress, in fact money fights and money problems are the number one cause of divorce in North America. When people become much stressed, the body reacts very negatively. Some people cannot help but sleep all the time; other addictions, such as caffeine, over eating and alcohol. Some people are full of anxiety because of their money problems.

Poverty is a lack of money or material possessions. Poverty is usually accompanied by debt obligations to others. Debt, whether or not associated with poverty, is a form of slavery. Poverty and Homelessness is one of the worst things that can happen to a person. It goes deep into the psyche with feelings of failure.

Sacred Economics traces the history of money from ancient gift economies to modern capitalism, revealing how the money system has contributed to alienation, competition, and scarcity, destroyed community, and necessitated endless growth.

Today, these trends have reached their extreme - but in the wake of their collapse, we may find great opportunity to transition to a more connected, ecological, and sustainable way of being.

Federal Reserve

From 1837-1862 there was a system of national banks in the USA but then in 1913-1914 a

consortium of 12 privately held banks got together and formed the Federal Reserve Bank. The

Federal Reserve is not a government agency, but a private, for-profit Corporation

Federal Reserve Act by President Woodrow Wilson. The Federal Reserve System includes the

Board of Governors and the twelve regional Reserve Banks. It took nearly a year from the time

President Wilson signed the Act to determine the boundaries of the twelve Federal Reserve

Districts and to establish the twelve regional Reserve Banks.

When people write a check, there must be sufficient funds in their account to cover the check,

but when the Federal Reserve writes a check there is no bank deposit on which that check is

drawn.

The paper and digital currency that bankers create out of thin air is backed by nothing. The

more paper "dollars" they roll off the printing presses or digital "dollars" created by computers,

the less each one is worth. Therefore, it takes more of them to buy the things people need, so

the price of everything has to go up and up and up in endless inflation. The Federal Reserve

does not bother to tell us that they do not create enough paper/digital currency to pay off the

debt plus interest so mathematically the economy will eventually collapse as has always

occurred in history with paper currencies.

The Federal Reserve was created in order to bring stability to the economy and yet almost

every major crash, including the great depression, can be attributed to the Federal Reserve.

History of Money

The United States worked directly with a gold standard for its currency until 1933. As President Roosevelt worked to strengthen a beaten-down U.S. economy after the 1929 market crash, he made sure that the government would no longer have a run on the gold it kept. This direction was enforced by stopping civilians from changing their currency back to gold. This move forced civilians to have to use paper money as currency and reserves whether they liked it or not. The next step was to stop other governments from drawing away U.S. gold as well. That approach did not happen until the 1970s when President Nixon halted foreign governments from being able to convert U.S. dollars to gold. In doing so, foreign countries were then forced to recognize and value the U.S. dollar as a paper asset only rather than one that could be changed to gold. Both of these moves boosted the amount of U.S. currency supply, but they also devalued the U.S. dollar over time. A car that cost maybe $1,000 in the 1960s now today costs $25,000.

There is no guarantee that if inflation is high it will not go higher or lower. So there is the
uncertainty with many people today. Some people who really understand what inflation and debt is about are outraged and disturbed about the Federal Reserve and how unfair it is and they feel like they are being punished without cause and their saving accounts are not worth as much. Many people are opening an account with KB Elemental coming to the United State by the end of the year. It is the world first gold back saving plan with will help them hedge against inflation on their savings. The only sure way to eliminate uncertainty is to have no inflation at all and that can only be accomplished by a "Gold Standard". Under a Gold Standard, the government owns a set number of ounces of Gold and issues currency for that amount
