Morne Trois Pitons National Park is a tropical rainforest with volcanic features that was recognized as a World Heritage Site on April 4, 1995.

Jaú National Park is located in Brazil, Río Platano Biosphere Reserve is in Honduras, and Canaima National Park is located in Venezuela.

Dominica's national bird is one of the several species of exotic birds that can be found in the tiny island of Dominica. This exotic bird is one of largest parrots on the planet.

The Sisserou parrot is indigenous to Dominica's mountains and is featured on the country's flag.

The second Pirates film, "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" and the third film "At World's End" all had major scenes filmed in Dominica.

Djibouti is a small country in the North Eastern region of Africa that borders the Red Sea, Ethiopia, Somalia and Eritrea.


Djibouti's climate is very hot, humid and arid, especially in the summer. The summer heat is moderated, however, by a sustained breeze in the coastal city of Djibouti. From October to April the temperature is cooler, with occasional rain. Cyclones from the Indian Ocean create heavy rains and flash flooding.

The population is divided into two main groups, the Issa of Somali people and the Afar.

Djibouti cuisine is largely influenced by Arab and French culinary art.

Danakil Desert is a lowland geothermal region which covers much of western Djibouti.

Mousa Ali is a volcano on the border of Djibouti and Eritrea. Mousa Ali is roughly 6,600 feet tall. Although it is not extinct, the last known eruption occurred more than 10,000 years ago.

The Sovereign Base Areas of Akrotiri and Dhekelia are two UK-administered areas on the island of Cyprus that comprise the Sovereign Base Areas military bases of the United Kingdom.

The bases are split into Akrotiri (Greek: Ακρωτήρι; Turkish: Agrotur, along with Episkopi Garrison, is part of an area known as the Western Sovereign Base Area or WSBA) and Dhekelia (Greek: Δεκέλεια; Turkish: Dikelya, along with Ayios Nikolaos, is part of the Eastern Sovereign Base Area or ESBA).

There are around 14,000 people in the Base Areas. English is the main language spoken by the British soldiers in the Bases, which make up about half of the population. Greek Cypriots, who speak Greek, make up the other 7,000 people in the Base

Dhekelia Beach is the largest beach of Larnaca and goes on for miles and forms the backdrop for many of Larnaca's four and five-star hotels and resorts, and close to the range of selfa catering villa's and apartments.

Congo, Republic of the is a country in Central Africa. It is bordered by Gabon, Cameroon, the Central African Republic, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (formerly known as Zaire), the Angolan exclave province of Cabinda, and the Gulf of Guinea. 
 
 Republic of the Congo's sparse population is concentrated in the southwestern portion of the country, leaving the vast areas of tropical jungle in the north virtually uninhabited

Brazzaville had a major music scene until unrest in the late 1990s, and produced popular bands like Bantous de la Capitale that played an integral role in the development of soukous and other styles of Congolese popular music. The Hip-Hop group "Bisso na Bisso" also hails from Congo-Brazzaville.

The first church in Congo was built in 1882 by a French priest and is located in Linzolo, 30km (19 miles) from the capital. The city is also home to the regional seat of the World Health Organization and a very good market.

Brazzaville was the capital of the "Free France" of the 1940s, Charles de Gaulle had a house built for him, the site of which is popular among visitors still today.
