How To Break A Fast Safely

Breaking your fast slowly ! Evey one day of fasting should be broken with only organic fruit juice or fresh fruit.

Breaking a fast is very important to follow it correctly. Eating to much or wrong kinds of food can hurt you,

To break a fast and gorge on meat, bread or junk food will be disaster. Jarring the system this intensely when the digestive system is in a sensitive state can cause stomach cramps, nausea and weakness, negating much of the benefits of the fast.

Educate yourself on how to begin a lifestyle of healthy eating. Fasting is a wonderful new beginning, a foundation for a lifelong, healthy diet.

After you break your fast, take care not to eat too often and too much. At this time, your digestive organs are completely inactive, so it would be wrong to overload them suddenly with a large quantity of food as this may lead to indigestion and other serious problems. Instead, the organs should be trained to return to normal activity slowly, beginning with small quantities of light food.

Many toxins and solid wastes will be loosened during a short fast. Organic Fruit Juices or Fresh fruit is the best way to get them out of the body.

Decide ahead of time what you want to eat and the amount rather than eating from an urge.

Eat at the same time everyday.

If you fast for three days, then your first three meals should be organic fruit juice or fresh fruit.

Make juices during the breaking period. Juice is gentle nourishment to the body.

A good rule of thumb for a short fast is to eat one fresh fruit meal for each day of your fast.

Eat slowly and chew your food well. Saliva has enzymes that assist in digestion. The enzymes in saliva can digest up to 80 percent starch, 30 percent protein and 10 percent fat.

When breaking a fast over ten days, the break-in period should be extended one day for every 4 days of fasting. When breaking from water fasting, go to a juice fast for two days or eat sweet fruits like oranges, mango's or pears.

Continue to eat healthy after the fast. Let this be the beginning of your journey towards a healthy lifelong lifestyle

How to start a fasting

Make an appointment with your primary-care physician before you start a fasting diet, regardless of the length of the fast.

Begin by preparing your mind, heart, spirit, and body. It is important to have a clear purpose for fasting and what you hope to gain from your fast.

Effective Meditation-Manifest what you really Want

Decide what kind of fast you want to start. Choose from a juice, water or raw-food fast.

Once you've decided, stick to it (most people would recommend juice fasts).

For a water fast, drink around 7 glasses of clear water per day.

For juice fasts, drink the same amount of fruit or vegetable juice.

A Raw food diet is based on eating whole, live, nutritionally-dense organic uncooked and un-processed raw-vegetables.

Plan out your daily activities for each day. It is important to schedule plenty of time to rest and take naps throughout the day as your body may not have enough energy to complete all of the tasks it would in a normal day.
Start out Slow and Build up

Start with a single-day fast. This will give you an idea on how Fasting feels like.

A one-day fast is supposed to make you feel that Fasting is not hard at all, that you can go on for a longer period of time.

Then try to go for a series of 3-day fasts with 1 day of light food in between them. Eventually, you'll be able to go on to 5-day fasts or even longer.

The first 2 or 3 days of the longer fasts are the most difficult.

People who fast usually experience headaches, vomiting, and even an increase in irritability in the beginning.

Only after about 3 days of Fasting will you begin to see its benefits: increased mental energy, enhanced concentration.

Fasting

Some people overeat, eat too often, and eat a high-protein, high-fat, rich-food, building and congesting diet more consistently than they need.

Many people may not know that the body requires abundant energy to digest food. Fasting enables rest for the digestive system, and this saved energy goes into self-healing and repairing operation

Fasting has been around for thousands of years. It is one of the most ancient and natural healing mechanisms that can help a person cleanse and purify their body. It's one of the quickest ways of eliminating toxic waste in the human body.

Fasting is the single greatest natural healing therapy. It is nature's ancient, universal "remedy" for many problems.

Fasting is the perfect gateway to a healthful diet and lifestyle. Going on a fast gives you the motivation and enthusiasm to make a fresh start.

Benefits of Fasting

Fasting promotes detoxification. As the body breaks down its fat reserves, it mobilizes and eliminates stored toxins.

Fasting gives the digestive system a much-needed rest. After fasting, both digestion and elimination are invigorated.

Fasting initiates rapid weight loss with little or no hunger. Most people are surprised at how little desire for food they have while fasting.

Fasting makes it easy to overcome bad habits and addictions. Many people have overcome tobacco and alcohol addictions by fasting, and even drug addictions. Fasting rapidly dissipates the craving for nicotine, alcohol, caffeine and other drugs

Fasting clears the skin and whitens the eyes. It is common to see skin eruptions clear while fasting, and the whites of the eyes never look so clear and bright as they do after fasting.

Fasting restores taste appreciation for wholesome natural foods. People say that their taste buds come alive after fasting and that food never tasted so good.

Phenomenal benefits occur when fasting is done following the advice of a specialist.

During the initial days of a fast, usually the toughest phase, large quantities of waste flood the blood stream, ready to be flushed out. The body throws out waste through every pore, perceptibly as a thick coat on the tongue and a foul breath emanating from the mouth

In the fasting state, the body will scour for dead cells, damaged tissues, fatty deposits, tumors, abscesses, all of which are burned for fuel or expelled as waste. The elimination of these obstructions restores the immune system functionality and metabolic process to an optimum state.

Fasting restores good digestion and elimination, and peristaltic action is quickened.

Fasting allows a deep, physiological rest of the digestive organs, and the energy saved goes into self-healing and self-repairing. By eliminating obstructions, by cleansing, detoxification, and purifying the intestines, the blood, and the cells, we can overcome many of our physical ills or handicaps as well as getting a boost in energy.

Fasting not only removes obstructions and helps the body to heal itself, it is also rejuvenating and life-extending. These resulting benefits can have lasting affects in your mental and emotional health.

From some people I hear Fasting is really good for people.

From other people I hear Fasting is really bad for people.

I Guess it is what you believe in?

January 1st 2010 I'm going to try a Fasting Program and I will keep an updated information on how my fasting goes.

Day 1     Day  2     Day 3   Day  4    Day 5  6    Day 7  8  9  10

Day 11   12    13  14    15   Day 16  Day 17  Day 18  Day 19  Day 20
